Architecture, Construction & Engineering (ACE) Academy

The Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) Academy is a school within a school, similar to what is found in a college. The idea is to group students that have a strong interest in architecture, construction, and engineering with other students that share the same interests. By doing this, students can push each other to excel further than they would be able to do in the confines of a traditional school setting.

The ACE Academy will integrate core academic courses more with architecture, construction, and engineering disciplines. This is designed to provide more relevance for core academic classes while demonstrating the place for where the disciplines taught in the core academic courses can be applied in real-life situations. While most ACE Academy students will participate in core academic courses with their academy cohort, students can still take core classes and other elective classes outside of the academy. Therefore, students can continue to challenge themselves with advance courses such as AP or become well-versed in other elective courses.

The ACE Academy is designed to assist students in excelling further in areas they are passionate about. The ACE Academy, in no way, will limit a student that wants to pursue a four-year degree from a university, a degree from a technical college, or pursue a career in the workforce right after high school. The career guidance provided in the academy will assist the student in designing an individualized educational path that will help them accomplish their career goals, no matter how ambitious those goals may be.

Students can apply for acceptance into the ACE Academy during their freshman year, to begin their sophomore year.  Students that are interested in applying can pick up all necessary materials in the High School Guidance Office.
